I have been very fortunate to be present at the last two Buick Open Championships. Interesting as it may be the last (2008) championship was the 50th anniversary and that year Tiger did not play because of an injury. This year (2009) when he did play and win was the last year of the Buick Open as GM withdrew their sponsorship of the event. This year Alaknanda and myself had the treat to follow his game across five greens on Friday July 31st 2009 and needless to say his form was flawless. Tiger Woods made that distinction clear at the Buick Open when he went from steaming to just plain smoking hot. And when he walked off the final green after shooting a 9-under 63 on Friday, Woods had soared from a tie for 95th into a tie for third. Tiger Jindabad !
